IELTS Writing – Pineapple Processing – Version 01

The process diagram shows the various stages of pineapple growth and how these pineapples can be processed into different food varieties, depending on their size and age. Overall, each product is determined by the pineapple’s age and size.

To start, plant pineapples in an area with a temperature ranging from 28 to 30 degrees Celsius. A fully ripe pineapple takes about a year to grow, reaching approximately 30 cm in height and weighing two kilograms. After washing and applying wax to the outer exterior, place these pineapples in freight containers for shipment by sea.

Conversely, we use premature pineapples for extracting juice. After rinsing, slice them and use an extractor to obtain their juice, ultimately turning them into pineapple juice. In contrast, mid-sized pineapples, which are about seven months older and have been treated with additional chemicals, undergo processing after rinsing. Transform them into pineapple slices or chunks and pack them in tins for future consumption.

The process diagram shows the various stages of pineapple growth and how these pineapples can be processed into different food varieties, depending on their size and age. Overall, each product is determined by the pineapple’s age and size.

To grow pineapples, locate them in an area where the temperature ranges from 28 to 30 degrees Celsius. The pineapples, growing to around 26 cm, serve the purpose of juice production. After washing, peel and process them using a juice extractor. Meanwhile, pineapples cultivated for seven or more months with added chemicals undergo slicing and processing as pineapple rings or chunks, subsequently placed in tin cans.

Afterwards, fully mature pineapples, ripened for an additional five months and attaining a size of 30 cm with a weight of 2 kilograms, undergo rinsing and a wax coating. Subsequently, sell these pineapples as they are or prepare them for export by boat.

IELTS Writing – Pineapple Processing – Notes

I have this idea that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. If we focus on the fully mature version in the initial release, it’s straightforward. The other two versions are quite similar in process.  That’s how I’ve outlined it. One important aspect to grasp is that the answer is often simple. If you observe how to structure the essay, it becomes straightforward. Avoid overcomplicating things.

Put yourself in the reader’s shoes; they prefer something easy to read and understand. If you look at the process of pineapples, there are three steps. The other two follow a similar process. It doesn’t need a lot of word twisting; it’s about presenting it as simply as possible.
